Anne will read from her latest book of poetry, The Red Sea Parted, But I Wasn’t Present, which is a collection of poems and stories. . Anne came from Michigan to Astoria, Oregon in 1986, and is a retired teacher and psychotherapist. She has published a number of books and chapbooks, including A Toe in the Water, Wading In, How Things Are, and Haiku: Seasons and Salads. In addition, she was an editor and contributor to the anthology Windblown Sheets: Poems by Mothers and Daughters. Her writing has been published in Rain, Stringtown, American Anthology of Poetry and Prose, and Annual Poetry and Prose.
Carolyn Dunn will read from her poetry manuscript, Finding the Branch, which is forthcoming from local publishing company Page & Book. Carolyn attended Grinnell College in Iowa and the University of Texas at Austin, where she received B.A. and M.L.S. degrees in English Literature and Library Science. She was a librarian for twenty years and retired in 1998 to write poetry. She lives in Astoria.
